Ludwig Blum (1891-1974), Czech born Jewish Israeli painter is known for his landscapes, especially of Jerusalem where he lived and worked since 1923, and where he received an Honorary Citizen Award and a street after his name.

Blum’s naturalistic oil paintings virtuously captured the effects of light in his characteristic views of Jerusalem, the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea and the Judean desert. His works are found in many private collections and in Israeli, American and Czech museums.
